One of my favorites

Today was one of my favorite days of the year. It ranks right up there with Christmas and my birthday, baseball card shows, road trips, etc. Today the little white Fed-Ex truck rolled up and delivered my season tickets. 41 days of fun in a book just for me. Well, me and a guest since I have 2 tickets for each game. Suzy obviously will be coming with me Opening Day, and whenever she is home she is always welcome to my spare ticket.

Being able to have season tickets is a real treat and is something I appreciate very much. I pretty much hibernate all winter long and pop out in the spring. For anyone who has season tickets, I am sure you know what fun it is to open that box up and see that thick book filled with tickets. If you haven't had the chance yet, it is definitely something to look into when you are able to.

I will be taking plenty of pictures at the exhibition games Friday and Saturday to post. They are currently calling for rain on Friday, so we'll see how that pans out. I also found out today that parking this season will cost $19 per game. My ticket only costs $12. That is one of the most aggravating parts of going to the games is paying for parking. I believe there will be a train from the burbs up and running by Opening Day which is a blessing. At least that way I can pick up a monthly pass and save myself money on parking, gas, tolls, and not to mention my sanity for sitting in traffic.

Anyone looking for some Yankees vs. Boston tickets for May I have an extra pair coming in the mail soon that I am probably going to end up selling. They are of course in the bleachers, and a good time will be had.

Edit: One thing I just noticed was that normally each year there is a season ticket holder identification card in the booklet which was only good for a 15% off coupon that was on the back at Modells. you were able to use the coupon over and over the whole season until November. Now, the back has nothing useful deeming the card a waste of paper for everyone. There is one coupon for 15% off at Modells in the book and that's it. You used to also get 15% off on each ticket stub, which is gone now also. Great.

I´m a huge Yankees Fan over here in Germany and I´m dreaming of having that opportunity! I´m happy whenever I can see some games! I need a flight, a hotel and a lot of money for making that trip!

I love the yankees and Chien-Ming Wang. He is a god in Taiwan.

I feel the Yankees will win the World Series this year.

  3. If you mean rich as in so many tickets, well yes. Rich as in money not even close.

I pick a couple of games to sell and pay for the season.

All the way from Germany, you should look into the MLB package online to watch the games. I don't know how the quality is, but worth a shot.

  7. The best way to get to get around the blaster-'spensive parking problem is rocket skates!

This is the stuff I think of when I'm up all but a couple of 41 hours straight and counting.
