Random Thoughts for Today

I will be eventually posting a blog about the Co-Signers, but I was so disappointed in yet another Topps product that I have no motivation to even brag about nothing really. I did send away for my redemption cards, and I am honestly hoping they replace what I got with some other guys because what I got sucked.

On another note, thank you to my friend Vinny who grabbed me 3 packs of Yankee Stadium Legacy cards from Yankee Stadium when they were giving them away. I traded my ticket for baseball cards and it was well worth it. 3 packs of cards, which were ALL different, and better yet, all free. I got a great assortment including Wade Boggs, who is one of my all time favorites despite the fact that he was a Red Sox for all those years.

Another thank you to MPStar for hooking me up with a ton of YSL cards as well, all of the cards still need to be logged in.

P.S. UD Series 2 blasters as well as Bowman 2008 blasters are now in Target. I busted one UD Series 2 so far, and have another as well as 2 Bowman to break. Stay tuned because the blaster of UD2 was more exciting than the Co-Signers.

No More Gambling

Buying boxes of cards and packs has been equated to me as gambling. Really, I agree and I need the 1-800 number for it.

I can't do the box thing anymore. Frankly, I am only interested in such a small handful of players anyway that it's pointless and wasteful for me to buy boxes. The rush of opening the boxes or packs is fun because you never know what you are going to get. But, in the end I've had that "Why did I just waste money on this?" way more than "This is the best baseball card day ever."

Bubble mailer days are better. Then, I know what I am getting. It's something that is going into my pc usually and I don't have to worry about what am I going to do with the rest of the cards. The guest room is getting full of them and the boyfriend isn't too happy.

So, eBay here I come and good bye Target and BC.

2008 Upper Deck Spectrum Blaster & 4 Packs

The packs were fun, I bought 4 single retail packs in Target and got 2 Yankee Stadium Legacy cards, which I only remember as 2241 and someone else. I put them in my Beckett checklist and they are already away. I also got DJ-23, Derek Jeter Retrospectrum card. So overall, not bad 3-4.

The blaster was a snooze, as are most blasters that have only 7 packs and 4 cards per pack. It took the usual 4 minutes to break open. I got 2 Yankee Stadium Legacy cards, 5384 - Leyritz, and 5409 - Williams. One Jeter Retrospectrum DJ-36, and the GU Jersey card was Coco Crisp Retrospectrum Swatches (useless waste of a card).

By the way, all these Spectrum blasters, and packs and I still do not have a Pujols. Bastards.

On a different topic, I did get my 2008 Co-Signers hobby boxes in the mail. I opened 4 packs so far... I am opening slowly since I have put myself on a budget to not spend so much money right now. I will probably post the first break in the next few days. Stay tuned....

Anyone out there??? Drop me a line, or a comment let me know what you think of the new Co-signers, and if you have anything you want to trade for. I'm going out on a limb by saying I'll need Pujols since I never get him.

Anxious to Get the Mail.....

I am expecting 2 hobby boxes of 2008 Topps Co-Signers this week... I can not wait. I have taken a small break from buying cards recently as a result of having some bills to pay. But I have a small update on the status of my Yankee Stadium Legacy collection, it is up to 140 cards, not including the cards that MPStar here has for me.

Again, if you have any Yankee Stadium Legacy cards for trade and are on the Beckett message boards, please PM me on there, screen name 39poolshark.

Stay tuned for a box break sometime this week. Anyone get anything good in the mail recently? Any good bargains out there I should know about?
