If I had money and collected football cards ... I would get this

Topps is slowly leaking photos of what could be its highest end football product, Topps Five Star.

We're talking about a box, which really just contains one pack of cards, for more than $400 a pop.

Topps put out just two cards in a little sneak peak today, but you have to admit, on-card makes everything prettier.

Brett Favre

Ohhhh ... and inscriptions. Fun!

It;'s only two cards, but what do you guys think?

  1. Maybe if he was in his old Packers jersey

  2. Looks like Exquisite will finally be dethroned as the king of premium football cards.

  3. I'd love to add those Favres to my collection (if he was pictured in his Packers jersey).

Favre... if you're reading this... keep playing... don't listen to those Vikings fans who want Jackson to start... you keep throwing picks and Packer backers will keep on lovin' ya.

  4. I can't wait for the football collectors to get their hopes deflated over this product.

As we in baseball know, it ain't over until the fat lady sings (uh, until the product actually hits the streets as mock-ups and checklists are subject to change in content and stickers in place of on-card autos).

  5. They pick Favre as the cards to preview? Interesting choice to say the least.

Who would've thought that Vick may have been the smarter way to go...
