Cliff Lee Opening Day Error Follow Up

Just to let you all know there are now 60 different auctions for the Cliff Lee Opening Day card, and since last night they seemed to have dropped off to ending between $8-$15 dollars. Way to oversaturate the market all you guys that open cases (ahem, tntnorthnj who has about 20 up).

  1. Unless the error is corrected my Topps, which is unlikely, that card is just another base card.

  2. Kudos to all the sellers who got in when they were $50.
I give it another week before those are in $1 boxes at your local show.

  4. Yeah. It's kind of funny that they missed that, but it's not $50 funny. Actually, that is kind of funny, that someone would pay $50 for a card with no indication of a correction.

  6. This Cliff Lee furor failed to occur following the release of the 2009 Topps Football Tony Gonzalez #85 card. It has the very same error featuring the Eugene Upshaw patch Gonzo wore while with KC.
