Show off!

I may be off the grid but I still creep on eBay sniping and bidding (yelling,screaming and crying) over cards.  I always wait until I have a big bunch of cards and then I scan them to put into the folder on my computer with all my McDonagh autographs and game used cards.  After scanning everything and opening all my Ultra Pro snap magnetic snap cases, I have realized I did not buy enough 130pt ones to put everything away which makes me angry.  I have a little bit of an OCD with how i keep my autographs and game used cards for my PC.

Has anyone opened any 2015-16 The Cup Hockey?  Curious what people think about opening a box of that since I will never ever be able to justify buying one on my budget.

Bubble mailer week...

Well, it was also PWE day because some sellers on eBay are just lazy.  I love getting a bargain so sometimes I will stray from solely buying autographs or only buying my guys.  That's where this nice Kreider auto came from.  I like it alot and it was way cheaper than it should be.  Then again hockey autographed cards are no where near as expensive to collect as baseball autographs.  Maybe it's just me.

Here are the new McDonagh cards I can cross off my want list today:

These were $1.69 for both, and I didn't have one so I figured why not.  The price is right.

2014-15 SP Six Authentic (I won't lie I don't like the card as much as I would if the Flyers were the "back of the card".)

I did also add some Cano cards to my collection as well.  Both are from 2105 Topps Series 1.

Blogging about my eBay pick ups makes me remember why I should stay away from packs.  I do occasionally grab boxes of hockey and baseball but focusing on my collection has helped it to grow and has stopped the amount of cardboard in my house from increasing 100 fold a year.

eBay for the WIN!

My eBay purchases recently have been far and few in between, however if someone accepts one of my low ball ridiculous offers.... I'm all for it.

I am currently on a whim to start collecting J.R. Murphy, however I want to acquire most of his cards via trade because I don't have the funding to start another collection. (Thanks for nothing Adam Lind.)

Anyhow, I saw someone selling a lot of 2 In the Game J.R. Murphy autograph cards for like $12.99 or best offer and it was ending within 10 minutes. I put in a bid of $5.00 figuring it would be worth it for 2 autographs if they accepted.... and viola!



My small Murphy collection got better on a trip to the card shop. My buddy Dan left me a bunch of cards of Murphy, Gary Sanchez and Pujols. If I had the money I would love to swipe a bunch of Sanchez cards based on his projection. Dan was nice enough to include this card in the package, which made my day.

While I don't feel Murphy has a place in the Yankees organization as a catcher with Montero and Romine ahead of him, he still has the potential to be a great player with the Yankees or on another team.

Why hello eBay!

I have been on a nice looooong break from eBay, and lately have been feeling a little spicy and kind of bored so I picked up another new card. I am figuring that if I only pick up a card or two here and there on occasion and they are cards that I really like, it might not be so bad.

Fact: I have earned more eBay bucks in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 4 months.

I kind of stole this card on eBay. The seller listed it as a BIN with a price lower than the BIN for the same card /199. I didn't even think twice to pull the trigger here.

2010 Bowman Platinum Robinson Cano auto

This has been the only one /50 that I have seen on eBay so it was a no brainer. I got the card and was pleasantly surprised that there was no missing fabric in the swatch area. I also liked the signature on this one as well.

So now I have 2 autos from this set, and I don't even have a base card. Sweet. Did anyone open Platinum that might want to send any Cano's or Pujols cards my way? You know you want to help me out. =)

eBay "Mojo"

So, I was on eBay as usual browsing around for nothing in particular with my eBay bucks certificate and came across an Adam Lind card I have wanted for a while but was just waiting for the price to be reasonable. Once he got hot last year, it seems like no one has bothered to check on his current batting average which is hovering around .210-ish. I picked up the card for less than $6.

I figured since I was already buying something from the seller and he had a store, why not see what else he can jam in the bubble mailer? The other card I got was in the same boat, just waiting for a good price. This one was less than $5.

2006 Future Stars Russell Martin RC
What I didn't notice about the Russ Martin card was that he is clear when you have the card in hand. From being scanned you can't tell, so that was a cool surprise. The card itself is also kind of made of plastic. I have the Adam Lind version of the Clear Path to Greatness, but I don't remember it being clear or plastic feeling....

So those are the latest cards to arrive for the PC. Sooner or later I will get the 2004 SP Adam Lind /400. I've been wanting to pick that up for a while now, and I am hoping no one else bids on that one (unless they are sending it to me).

A few recent Kouz pickups

Picked up some new additions to the Kevin Kouzmanoff collection. I'm pretty pleased with these cards, if I do say so.

We'll go in order of the cards numbered, highest to lowest.

Up first is a card from the 2007 Exquisite set. An auto, game-used combo numbered to /99. I had the one numbered to /199, so these guys will enjoy each other's company.

Up next is an oldie but a goodie. I happened to enjoy 2007 Moments and Milestones. I even cashed in on the Dice K with his rookie card, which bought a few hobby boxes for me. Here, is Kouzmanoff's auto card /40 (OMG! It's a 1/1 because it's 40/40).

Strange thing about this set is that Kouz has three base cards, but I only have two of them. The regular auto is easier to find than any of his base cards.

And, finally, we have a 2007 Bowman Draft yellow printing plate. Of course, 1/1. I have a few of his 1/1 cards. I don't actively seek them, but I will bid on them if I happen to see them on eBay.
