Topps Triple Threads FAIL Part 2

You didn't think I was done hating did you? I drank a nice big glass of Haterade before I started searching around on eBay again. This one is an epic failure.

Mariano Rivera is hands down the greatest closer of all time. Topps was kind enough to give Mariano a card in the 2010 Triple Threads, however they were not kind enough to make it a card that is unique to him. Instead, they mailed it in and made this card... 2010 Topps Triple Threads Mariano Rivera

That's it? That was the best idea the design team could come up with? Really? Not "Sandman" in illegible words with all gray jersey filling it in? No booklet of "Greatest Closer of All Time" illegibly in all gray jersey?

Come on guys, that is a terrible card for Mariano.

Topps Triple Threads FAIL

Last night Sooz and I were going back and forth exchanging links on some of the cards we found of 2010 Topps Triple Threads. I searched for Jorge Posada to see if there were any cool cards and was very surprised at what I found.

One of the nicknames for Jeter, Posada, Rivera, and Pettitte is "The Core Four". They have been called that for a while now, and have appeared on magazine covers with the phrase, Steiner special 4 auto ball's in a special case deals, photos, etc. Suddenly, according to Topps there are only 3 members of "The Core Four", Jeter seems to not be worthy.

Take a look at "The Core Three" card, which also has a large part of the jersey area filled with a color the Yankees don't even wear.

Now, honestly how can Topps mess this up? It's really annoying.

What is wrong with Topps?

Honestly, I want to know how much they pay the people in Quality Control because it really isn't enough. Do they have robots watching what crap they turn out for a $250-$300 per box product?

Look at this ridiculous 2010 Topps Tribute Cano "ERROR" /25. This is the second card I have seen just of Cano that has looked like crap. It really makes me mad because now there are only 24 chances at this card, and maybe 10 of them will actually land on eBay or end up for sale somewhere.

There is absolutely no reason or excuse to produce a card like this and allow it to get into a box of anything much less one of your high end products.

I will NEVER buy a pack of this product much less a box. Way to keep the "value" in the box, Topps.

6 Topps redemptions...

and 6 Suck it, Topps! Suck it, Topps! Suck it, Topps! Suck it, Topps! Suck it, Topps! Suck it, Topps! from me back to them for screwing us on these.

Last year as some of you might recall Sooz and I bought a case of 2008 Series 1 Jumbo boxes and there were 6 World Baseball Classic redemption cards in the case. They did not say they were specific to a certain card number on the cards so I punched in the codes and waited... I got home today to see 6 Tri-Star envelopes and was excited to see what we ended up with. Now, I just want to punch someone from Topps right in their suckhole.

How would you feel if you redeemed 6 cards and got these? I don't care what team you are a fan of, who the f- needs 6 of the same card? If we got 6 Pujols or 6 Jeters I would still be annoyed.

Just something else that makes no sense. Someone should tell Topps their redemption process sucks, as well as collectors having to redeem codes and bulls--- 12 weeks or whatever the hell for delivery.

I'm done now. Now I am going to scan my GOOD cards, the 2010 Upper Deck Series 1 hobby packs which had ZERO redemptions and were still COOL despite not having a team name on them.
