Adam Lind PC additions

I am still working on 2007. There I said it, I am 3 years behind in finishing some projects. However, in my defense I collect Albert freakin' Pujols so do the math. Slowly but surely I will finish my rainbow of Lind cards, and I think right now I am only missing 2 of this particular card, the one /25 and /200. There is a random tri-sig from this set /27 I have only seen once also, but was too much money.

These are my most recent additions to the Adam Lind binder. 2007 Co-Signers /125 and /175.


I also have a bunch of cards that I had scanned and haven't gotten around to blogging about yet, but I will. Especially the nice package I got from Todd at Wax Pack Relapse.

Are we all just a bunch of suckers?

I'm not sure what made me start thinking about this today but I feel like sometimes the card companies bet on us being suckers. Sometimes they win, and in the case of me vs. Adam Lind Co-Signers auto's they won.

Most of us collect at least one specific player and try to get as many cards of him as possible, and some of us even like to pick up autographs of that player. I use the Co-Signers as an example because here I am buying all these autographs that are each serial numbered to something else while only really getting the same card with a sticker and a different serial number. I know I am not the only one suckered by this. There are plenty of things like this that I do not bother with, and some that I do. I know that some of the Co-Signers are technically "blue" or whatever according to Beckett but they look the same to me unless they are dark blue like the one I just got on eBay.



I now have 5 of these Co-Signers from 2007 and I a still missing a couple. I don't believe that this is the case with all serial numbered cards but I feel like alot of them ending being very similar to this example. Don't get me wrong, I like serial numbered cards in different colors. It may sound crazy but I like a page or half page in my binder with one card in a bunch of colors, for some reason I think it looks cool and to get all of them would feel like an accomplishment. Just sometimes it all seems a bit ridiculous when 4 different serial numbers all appear to be plain silver.

Then again, if they (all serial numbered auto's) were all vastly different like collecting the "By the Letter" cards from SP Authentic it would be cooler looking, more expensive and have manufactured patches so I guess we're screwed either way.

eBay mailday - Adam Lind auto

Hi, my name is Marie and I am addicted to cardboard. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Though I have no idea what the second step is, I am pretty sure it involves fixing that problem. Clearly, I have no intention of fixing my addiction.

I picked up this card sometime last week on eBay for a whole $1.74 which is well worth it to me. It is a 2007 Topps Co-Signers dual autograph of Adam Lind and Delwyn Young.

Oddly enough today I was browsing on eBay and saw a 2007 Masterpieces auto of Lind that I really wanted because it is on card, however the bidding got to $3.50 and for some reason I find that kind of ridiculous. I understand in the scheme of things that $3.50 is not alot of money to spend on an autograph, and of a person who I collect. The problem here is that I am just not really sure if I think he is worth $3.50 for one card. Maybe I am crazy. Don't say it.

Some people think he could have a break out year this year, but I will wait to see it with my own eyes before believing speculation. My whole reason for starting this in the first place is based on speculation, and the fact that I could scoop up cards at a cheap price. Then again compared to Pujols anything is a cheap price. We'll see what happens.
