It's the final day of the regular season for baseball and there is just one question left for baseball fans: Who would you rather see in the postseason, Twins or Tigers?
I vote for Twins, simply because the Yankees own them.

Let's go with the under-dogs, the Twins, I don't care if Verlander is my fantasy pitcher or not. Mauer, Morneau, and that guy Cuddyer, these guys can be exciting.
ReplyDeleteTwins always. So scrappy.
ReplyDeleteNoo! The Tigers! Curse those Twins!
ReplyDeleteSorry Dan, go Twins! Though with Verlander pitching today I don't know if it matters that much to me.
ReplyDeleteI hate winter (for sports reasons, not weather).
I don't really have any strong feelings toward either team, but I'm kinda pulling for the Twins. I like to see a team come back from the dead.
ReplyDeleteWhoever has a better chance to beat the Yankees. That's all that matters.
ReplyDeleteTwins .. even though I hate watching games played in the Metrodome. The Minnesota Twins open a new ballpark next year ... Target Field.
ReplyDeleteGotta go with the Twins here. Sorry Motown.
ReplyDeleteTwinkies...because they should be an easier matchup for the Yankees. Oh dear God, can you imagine if the Yankees-Twins series goes 5 and Pavano eliminates them from the playoffs? I might have to kill myself if that happens.
ReplyDeleteChris, if that happened... I think they might just close the Stadium permanently.
ReplyDeleteUnless my team is involved, I tend to root for the most dramatic storyline.
ReplyDeleteHistory would read better if the Twins beat the Tigers.
One more post-season go-round in the Metrodome before they tear it down. The noise. The homer hankies. The white roof. Kirby's ghost. The momentum and heart of the underdog Twins against the powerful Yankees.
It just feels right.
Twins....because I like Joe Mauer.
ReplyDeleteTwins - I love choking stories as teams head towards the playoffs and the Tigers are on the cusp of choking.
ReplyDeleteas for the yanks owning the twins, not so fast! It's the second season and the Twins should have some mo going into the playoffs, and I'm not talking about that old fart Rivera. ;)
Go Twins - every year they do this!
ReplyDeleteTigers and as a Yankee fan I am pretty sure you want the Tigers as well. Because of the Leyland-led collapse, the Tigers were forced to throw Verlander yesterday and he won't be ready until Saturday. Because of the Leyland-led collapse, the Tigers are forced to throw Porcello Wednesday and he will not be available until 8 days from today. The third starter, Edwin Jackson's arm is toast because he has thrown too may innings. The number four and five guys are very close to automatic losses. I am pretty sure that you want the Tigers.
ReplyDeleteLet's go Tigers. Bring the Evil Empire to its knees.
ReplyDeleteI truly don't care as long as the Yankees win. I just really don't want to lose a game to Pavano...American Idle.
ReplyDeleteLet's go with the under-dogs, the Twins
ReplyDeleteYou do know that the Twins are not the underdogs, right?
Go Twins, even though they will lose to the yankees for the 18th time in the playoffs.
Although Detroit needs love in the worst way, my wife likes Joe Mauer and she's an identical twin to boot.
ReplyDeleteGotta go with Minnesota, though I won't be upset if the Tigers win.
